STORIES & SONGS ABOUT LOVE GONE WRONG

SYNOPSIS:

One hour multi-media, solo theatrical concert based on true events by Texas-born, NYC-trained, LA performer Stacie Burrows. No Good Drunk is a Southern Gothic blend of stories and songs about love gone wrong. Using projections to display film shot in West Texas dive bars and graveyards, the show is comprised of 7 original songs and stories that connect the through-line about how alcoholism upended my family. My grandfather drank himself to death in the 50's in El Paso, Texas and wound up buried in another woman's grave. As I move through the generations of my family, we learn that history doesn't always repeat itself, but it often rhymes. Directed by Katierose Donohue Enriquez (Queen of Fishtown). Musical Direction by Sam Small.
